A Category Waiting to Be Defined
Institutional investors have Bloomberg. Retail investors have… price charts and Reddit threads. The intelligence gap is massive — and growing.
The Addressable Market
There are approximately 165 million retail stock investors in the US — roughly 62% of the adult population.[1] Retail investors now account for 30–37% of daily US equity trading volume, up significantly from pre-pandemic levels.[5]
The global AI-in-fintech market is projected to reach $56.9 billion by 2030, growing at a 19.8% CAGR.[4] Yet no incumbent is building AI-native intelligence specifically for the retail segment. The category is wide open.
The Demographic Tailwind
Gen Z is investing earlier than any prior generation. Participation among 25-year-olds surged from 6% in 2015 to 37% in 2024 — a 6× increase in under a decade.[2]

The AI Cost Revolution
Between November 2022 and October 2024, the cost to run inference at GPT-3.5-level performance dropped by more than 280× — from $20.00 to $0.07 per million tokens.[3]
The cost-efficiency frontier has fallen 99.7% since GPT-4's launch, making real-time, multi-model financial analysis viable at consumer price points for the first time.[7]
This isn't incremental improvement — it's a structural shift that makes FuturePort's entire business model possible.
Market Convergence
- 91% of asset managers are using or planning to use AI in portfolio research — but retail has no equivalent tool[8]
- 29% of retail investors now rely on social media for investment research, with 61% of under-35s using YouTube[9]
- The World Economic Forum reports a structural shift toward younger, digital-native investors reshaping market dynamics[10]
- 78% of organizations now use AI in at least one business function — up from 55% in 2023[3]
What We've Built
FuturePort is a live product — not a pitch deck. We ingest daily price, fundamentals, and macro data from public institutional sources and run a multi-factor scoring pipeline that delivers AI-assisted signals to retail investors.
The Fastest-Growing Investor Segment
Gen Z is 6× more likely to be investing now compared to 2015. 54% begin investing by age 21 — versus 31% of Millennials and 27% of Gen X.[11][6]
This generation expects AI-native tools as the default. They don't want legacy platforms with AI bolted on — they want products built on AI from day one. That's FuturePort.
What We're Raising For
Capital will accelerate product development, expand our data pipeline, and fuel user acquisition as we scale from early adopters to mass market.
Open to Working with Banks & Brokers
We’re early in exploring distribution partnerships with retail banks, brokerages, and wealth platforms. If you’re at an institution looking for AI-native ways to surface your products to a digital-native audience, we’d love to compare notes.
What We Have in Place Today
FuturePort is a live consumer product with a production account-linking flow powered by Plaid. Users already connect their brokerage and bank accounts, and we pull holdings, positions, and transactions through that integration.
That existing plumbing is what a partner integration would build on. We have not yet built a dedicated partner framework or product-catalog ingestion pipeline — that’s exactly what we’d design alongside an early partner, not something we’re claiming as a finished product.
Why We’d Like to Talk
- Mutual fitYou have retail customers and products. We have a growing audience of engaged retail investors and the intelligence layer that makes dry fund data feel alive.
- Design partnershipWe’d rather co-build the integration with one or two early partners than ship a generic framework nobody asked for.
- Honest scopeA first pilot would likely look like a simple co-branded surface or API hookup, not a turn-key integration hub. We’ll be transparent about what’s production vs. what we need to build.
Retail Banks, Brokerages & Wealth Platforms
If you’re an institution with retail customers and no AI-native experience layer — or you’re rethinking how to reach younger, digital-first investors — we’d genuinely like to learn what would make a partnership useful to you before we build anything.
We’re open to exploratory calls with no expectation attached. Happy to share what we’ve built and hear what you’d actually find useful.
